Description
The bee hummingbird is the smallest living bird. It's so tiny that is indeed scarcely larger than a bee, hence its name. Females are slightly larger than males, with an average length of 2.2 in (5.5 cm). The bird is endemic to Cuba, and can be found mainly in the mogotes (isolated steep-sided residual hills surrounded by flat plains) area, in the Northern part of the island.
